What I like to do
Design learning materials Use learning sciences in materials Produce videos and animated videos Build blended learning content Construct multi-media content Organize online courses Substantiate screencasting for better learning Design and produce podcasts Develop learning games/activities |
How I do it
I start with the learning sciences. Building content that can be used in ways that people naturally learn means that users will find the materials intuitive. I also think about backward design, Universal Design for Learning and accessibility so that all users connect with the materials in an equitable manner. Additionally, I focus on challenging learners with the right amount of rigor so students are intrinsically motivated to learn and feel invigorated by the process. |
Tools I use
Mac systems Window systems Learning Management Systems Camtasia Vyond Audacity H5P PowerPoint and Word Website design software Zoom MS Teams ChatGPT And more... |
Why?
Learning is difficult to avoid. Humanity is built for for learning, and all people are learning at almost every moment. It is one of the most natural, automatic elements of being a person. Why then do so many people think of formal learning as boring, difficult, tedious and not worth time? This is what I like working on. I want to find ways to inspire, intrigue and motivate people to engage in learning environments because they find it deeply satisfying and worth their time. |
